Fishing Report: March 24 2009

Posted on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in Fishing Reports

What an awesome past few days it has been. Saturday I fished only till 11:00 in the morning and had 21 fish up to 6 lbs. Sunday we had 42 largest being a 7.2 and many 3-4lbers. Today we had 39 up to 6.5lbs. The patterns for me are pretty much the same as they were 2 weeks ago when it was warm. Texas rigged lizards, weightless Grande Bass Rattlesnakes and Honchos, and the rogue. I have several majors creeks I am working some have hydrilla and some don’t I move around according to the wind. Fishing should remain good assuming we don’t get too much rain in the next couple of days to dirty up the water. If these areas get too dirty I will move to the nearest clear water but will use the same techniques. The next few days a spinnerbait may start to work especially if we receive a north wind during and after the front.

Good luck on Lake Fork this spring. If I can be of any assistance or if you would like to book a trip call me anytime on my cell at (903)780-0680. Here are my remaining available dates now thru mid May.

Lake Report: March 13 2009

Posted on Friday, March 13, 2009 in Fishing Reports

Monday and Tuesday were awesome. Monday we had around 40 fish most in the 3-6lb. range and 3 were in the 7lb class. The majority of those bass were caught on a GrandeBass Rattlesnake in the trophy hunter color rigged weightless fished in the back of creeks on the flats. Some fish were also caught on a Texas rigged lizard.

Tuesday we had 26 fish most were in the 2-4lb class in the same area as Monday. Today I changed areas after catching only 3 there this morning I knew I had beat the area up pretty good.

I moved to another creek and we ended up with 15 fish for the day with several 5lbers and most of the other were nice slot fish. Today we caught the majority of the fish on a gold/black rogue and a spinnerbait. With the cloud cover and rain the fish were more on a reaction bait and I expect that will not change with the upcoming rainy forecast.

I have a few days remaining in for the next couple of months. March 28, April 5,12,13,15,18,20. If I can be of service let me know. Call my cell anytime at (903)780-0680.

testimonial11A couple of years ago Brooks Rogers guided myself and Harold Dutton during our company’s annual meeting. I was really impressed with his knowledge of the lake and his ability to locate and catch big bass out of Lake Fork.
