I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful fall weather as much as I am.  Last year at this time it was raining every other day but this year so far has been awesome.  Bass fishing here on Fork has been great most days to with bass on several different patterns it’s a great time to go fishing.

Last week we had a pretty strong cold front pass thru and as the front passed topwaters and spinnerbaits were working very well along main lake grass beds.  After the front passed thru there was still a good spinnerbait bite on Friday since we had a strong north wind but on Saturday the lake turned slick and we caught around 20 for the day most out of about 30 feet of water and over half the fish were over 5lbs. with the largest just under 8lbs.  Those larger fish were caught on spoons and swimbaits.  The deep water fishing should remain good for quite a while or it may even improve as the water cools.  The crappie fishing is starting to get going as well so if anyone is interested in a fall fishing trip let me know.  Hope you guys enjoy the pictures from the past few days and don’t forget I can send out Christmas Gift Certificates which make a great present.  I still have a few days open this month for bass and crappie.  Don’t hesitate to give me a call even if it’s short notice I may be open (903)780-0680.
