Lake Fork Report 11-30-09
Posted on Monday, November 30, 2009 in Fishing Reports
Hey GuysI hope all had a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Bass fishing up here this fall has been different than years past. All of yall who live here in East Texas are aware of how much rain we have had and that has changed the fishing patterns. Normally we catch them well in the back of the creeks this time of year but with the high lake level that pattern has been all but non existent. Therefore, I have been catching bass on main lake hydrilla, deep water creek bends and flats, and main lake points. During the past two weeks I have had some good days between deep and shallow fish. Several days we have had 20 plus fish per day up to 7 lbs. spinnerbaits and speed traps fished on the outside hydrilla have worked well in the mornings and after lunch I have been keying in on 20-30 ranges with a spoon, tail spinners, and drop-shots.
Crappie fishig is also picking up and I have had some good days with the crappie as well. Everyday is different with the crappie but 20-30 depths have been the best. If anybody wants to come get a freezer full of crappie come on down. Now thru the end of January should be good.
Check out the pics from the past week.
As always thanks for your business. I have gift certificates available for Christmas and my spring schedule is pretty open but will start filling in the next couple of months. Look forward to fishing with each one of yall again.
Thanks
