Lake Fork Report 6-16-09
Posted on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 in Fishing Reports
The hot weather has finally arrived here in East Texas. The water temps are ranging from 80-86 degrees in most of the lake and there are several good patterns going right now from shallow to deep water.
There are still a few places that are holding some fish in shallow water. Some spots will produce 10-15 good topwater bites on Zara Spook, Yellow Magics, and buzzbaits. I am using this pattern in the backs of a couple of the major creeks around the hydrilla. There are also alot of fish on ridges and humps in 6-12 feet of water. Texas rigged worms in redbug and DD22’s are working well. Yesterday we had 25 fish off of one ridge and most were on a DD22. There are also some bass to be caught on the outside edges of the grass in these 6-12 feet depths on worms and DD22’s. There is also plenty of fish to be caught out on the main lake in 20 to 30 feet depths as well. I have caught several the past few days in 25 feet on a Texas rigged worm sitting in 35 feet of water and throwing back to 25 feet of water. Here are the days I have available in the next few weeks. June 23,25,29,30, July 1-3 are still open.
