Welcome McDonalds Bass Fisherman!

For everybody in from out of town, welcome to Lake Fork. Bass fishing the past couple of day has improved. Yesterday (Tuesday) was awesome we caught somewhere around 35 bass up to 7.25lbs. The biggest bass including several other over 4lbs. came on a buzzbait. The majority of our fish came on white 3/8oz. spinnerbaits in 2-5 feet of water around the hydrilla. Many of our other fish came on a Texas rigged redshad 6 inch worm in 5-7 feet of water on the outside of the hydrilla.

Fishing should continue to be good through the weekend on the same type of patterns since we should have some rainy and cloudy conditions which is what we had Tuesday. These patterns will be the best way to catch numbers of bass but for a chance of a trophy I would advise the 10-20 foot depths on the main lake. Tree lines running off of a point or any type of ridge in the 10-20 foot range should be the best. Texas rigged worms and jigs will work but a big crankbait like a DD22 or a Mudbug would be my choice for a trophy.

Please be careful this weekend since the lake will be extremely crowded. I hope everybdy enjoys the McDonald’s weekend here on Lake Fork.

Good Luck
